Brand New Carseat for Sale

Brand new Britax Marathon with Granite Fabric $215.00 (Babys R Us has it for $249.00) It doesn't fit in my car. The dimensions are 28 in. high, 19.5 in. wide, and 25 in. deep. It is for children up to 65 lbs.

My husband and I had the same problem. It's installed in our car behind the passenger's seat and the seat cannot be moved. We had wanted it in the center of the backseat, but then my husband wouldn't have been able to drive the car until we turned it forward facing.

When looking for a smaller carseat, we found that the Britax Roundabout fit where the Marathon wouldn't. Babies R Us will actually let you bring out their floor model to make sure it fits in your car.

Have you considered returning the Marathon? Seems like you have a valid reason.

I can return the carseat but I ordered it from Baby Catalog of America online. They charge a restocking fee plus I have to pay the shipping. If no one is interested, I will have to send it back. My fault for not measuring! I just assumed it would fit in an SUV. I did buy a Roundabout and it fits fine. I guess the Marathon would be better for a family with a child old enough to face forward.

Are you sure it does not fit? We have a Marathon in our van. Have you tried taking it to a car seat installer- fire department or any Chrysler dealer will also install for free. Also, check parentsplace.com on their car seats board. Those ladies know car seats and can tell you if there is a trick or something you should know to help install the seat. Just a thought. One more thought is Ebay. You could sell it there for full price or close to it and save the restocking and shipping fee.

How much are you willing to sell it for? The place you bought it from sells it for $215 including free shipping and a free "Supermat" (what ever that is). Anyway, just curious of your price.

The Marathon with the Granite fabric was $228 when I bought it. Some of the other fabrics they sell may be $215.00. I did receive the free supermat and would be happy to include it with the seat although I would not recommend using it. The Ashburn Fire Dept. would not install the seat if I used the mat. They said it hasn't been tested. If you or someone is really interested, I'd be willing to consider an offer.
