Can anyone recommend some good summer day camps for kids going into 1st grade? I know summer seems so far away right now, but it is bound to get here sometime!

I believe there will be a registration clinic for Summer Camps on Monday, March 14th in Broadlands...an opportunity to meet with Camp representatives and get more information.
If your child has ADD, ADHD or non-traditional learning styles, you can find more information about our Summer Camp at www.celebrateADHD.com.
Thanks and good luck! Anita Martin

It's a tad too old for a 1st grader, but on a related note: For those 7yr and older I highly recommend Sanborn Westeran Camps in Colorado. I flew out there with a good friend way back in High School and had the best summer ever.

It was pricy but it was way more than worth it.

I looked at Sanborn's website -- how come adults don't get to go away to summer camp? That place looks great! Don't know if my guys are ready for it-- yet . . .

Try Loudoun County Parks & Rec - http://www.loudoun.gov/prcs/camps/index.htm

Our kids usually do ice hockey camps at the Ashburn Ice House, but two of our neighbors who have signed up for the ADHD Camp recommended we call about it.
Our oldest has ADHD and it's been a struggle for him (and us!) since he was about 6. The couple who run the Camp are extremely nice and helpful, very passionate about what they are doing. They even came to our son's hockey game so they could see him doing what he loves. They told our son about the Camp and (for once) he even asked to go! We didn't have to bug him!
Lots of good camps around this area, we're very fortunate.

Thanks to everyone for your overwhelming response...looks like we may need to open up some additional classes! So glad we moved to Broadlands--what great community support.
