On March 29, 2005 the White House announced the President will be presenting the Medal of Honor to the widow of Sergeant First Class Paul R. Smith on April 4, 2005.
Teh Army has developed the above site dedicated to this first Medal of Honor recipient of the Global War on Terrorism and the Medal of Honor itself.
This is the only known government web site about this brave Soldier's gallant efforts. The site features the entire series of events as well as a flash-based battle scene. Information about the unit along with actual interviews with unit members to be added in the very near future.
Please spread the word about this site so we can get this Soldier's story told.
Thanks
