Hi
We take our daughter sometimes to this Urgent care facility when she is not well especially over the weekends or late in the evenings during the weekday. The service and the doctor are OK. We basically go there due to the fact that they are open till 11 p.m everyday.

Was wondering whether anyone on this forum had used this urgent care facility and if they had Billing issues with this clinic. It seems that they don't have a "person" who does the billing looks like the doctor himself does the billing. We have talked couple of times with the clinic as well as insurance company and either one is blaming the other person. We obviously have gone ahead and paid the pending balance as we lost patience of being on phone with the insurance as well as doctor repeating the same thing over and over again. All this started the beginning of Year 2005, as if something had changed in 2005 and both the doctor as well as the insuracne folks say that nothinh has changed. We had some visits in 2004 and had no issues.
Hopefully we will not have to visit the clinic again.

Was wondering whether anyone out her who has used this facility had similar problems.

Thanks
Sandeep

I have never been there, but I have had plenty of problems with miscommunication between insurance companies and billing dept's. The insurance companies usually want you to take care of everything yourself, i.e. phone calls. Give them your doctor's number and tell them to call. They work for you- you pay them. They need to resolve it between themselves and it is not the doctor's responsibility to make the insurance comply. It is the insurance company's problem, but you have to see it through. Get names, have confirmation letters sent, ask for a call back to let you know that everything was resolved.

Sandeepb,
I just took my daughter there last night. Pediatrics@nite doesn't take many forms of insurance because the insurance companies want too steep a discount to provide care. They had a list of the plans they did not take on the front desk; I saw it as I checked in. They do not take my insurance (Cigna), so I paid for the services last night and will submit the claim to my insurance company myself. Just make sure that you get a from from Pediatrics@Nite that has the diagnosis code on it and explanation of services. I didn't get one when we went last November, and thus could not submit to insurance or for flex spending reimbursement. It takes some extra steps but it's not too much of a hassle for something used infrequently. It certainly beats a trip to the emergency room.

I had this issue with Nexthealth (Urgent care facility in Ashburn Professional Buildings)! Except the insurance said they needed diagnosis codes when they were clearly marked on the paper. My conclusion if they don't take your insurance, go somewhere that does. Insurance companies are such a bleeping hassle!
