Does anyone by chance know when the carwash next to Giant will open? Maybe I missed a sign it's been about couple weeks since I was at that end of Claiborne.

Is it me or is that easily the largest carwash ever?

No, you are not alone I found it to be quite large too, this sure would beat going a carwash I've visited in Sterling. They did an ok job but I sure wouldn't mind just driving down the street for a change.

I've not seen anything there that would announce an opening. From the looks of things this past week, they're still getting the electrical hookups done.

Their web site is at: http://www.ashburncarwash.com/

A friend stopped by last week to check on its opening and they told him maybe yesterday (Monday) or later this week. Their phone message still said it was opening the fall of 2004 when I checked last week. They've had construction problems but now they seem to suffering from major management problems if they can't figure out when they plan to open.

The big question: How much????? In the winter months - I use a car wash - but in the spring/summer - I enjoy washing my own car.....good exercise and enjoy the outdoors.

I agree - how about some high pressure wand bays like the one on Sterling Blvd. Great for getting salt out of the fender wells in the winter or a quick spray off of pollen. There are so few of these in Northern VA.

I thought that was what the extra bays were for .. guess they're for detail work then.
