Hi,

Any ideas as to how/where to celebrate toddler daughter's birthday? Preference is for some eat-in place where kids can enjoy the most. Have tried Rain forest cafe and Chuk e cheese before, liked very much, but do not want to repeat them. Any ideas on similar places where kids can enjoy?

Thanks

What about Pizzeria Uno? The kids can make their own pizzas at the table and then they will take them back and cook them. We didn't do it for a party, but my kids enjoyed it quite a bit. They even have little paper (or was it plastic) aprons for the kids to wear.

call me old fashion, but what about just doing the cake, ice cream thing at home. Maybe a Pinata and Pin the Tail on the donkey. It's a little work, but you kid and his/her friends will love it.

why must everyone be critical with opinions rather then just helping with the person's question?

We've done several.. but most have been activity based rather then food-centric. Things like the Little-Gym, etc

My daughter was just invited to a party at the Leesburg Animal Farm Park later this month. It sounds like it's going to be fun - pony rides, hay ride, animal show and cake. Unfortunately my daughter has a February bday so activities like this are not possible. We have however, had a Little Gym party for her as well as the home parties with pizza, cake & pinatas. I think at this age (she's 3), they enjoy running around and being active. I'm sure that no matter what you plan, it'll be lots of fun!

Second the "activity" idea.

We did Gymboree for our son's 2nd b-day. The kids LOVED it. And we were allowed to bring in food.

Make sure you take and use the Purell... They've had several petting zoo e-coli problems recently. I know, I grew up playing in a cow pasture, but they had some REALLY sick kids in FL after visiting hte petting zoo and Purell makes it so easy avoid.

Oh definitely. We went to a farm last week and were very deligent about hand washing and using purell. Leesburg Animal Farm park has hand sanitizer dispensers all around as well as a big sink for hand washing.

It's a good idea though I guess my home would be too small for the number of people that I ma expecting.
Thanks..

We have been to very fun birthday parties at Trailside Park, which is at the end of Claiborne Parkway. There are a few picnic tables and a great playground. Absorbs a lot of kids, costs nothing.

You could also do a party at the swimming pool (in the baby pool) - though if you're talking 15 or 20 kids it would be too crowded.

My kids loved eating at Friendly's at that age - that could be an option if you want to do a restaurant party.

Steve,
Wasn't being critical, just suggestions and thoughts.
