Just wanted one place to talk about what is in the works for development and where it is.

Can you list what is being built where and if it is in process or planned? For example - By Home Depot - where the the new bank is, what is being built there, is there a site plan we can check up on as to what shops will be there.

The (not sure if street is correct) Wynridge Road - Harris Teeter?

Waxpool by the Ice rink and Shell?

Across the street from the Food Lion?

Phase III of the current Safeway?

Will more shops be added to the right of the new Harris Teeter off of 7?

There was talk of new Movie theaters being built - I think two of them? But where?

The Wegmann's proposed for Leesburg - other Leesburg projects?

Moorefield Station - Target and ...

Clyde's, Dunkin Doughnuts

Expected dates when project will be done on all these? Did I leave any out?

For the shops next to the Ice House -- good news, we'll be getting another cleaners and nail salon... yay!

Other shops there appear to be a satellite tv place and a pub.... the pub looks like the only interesting addition so far.

The restaurant park, just past the ice house and near the Embassy Suites, I think has planned: Five Guys Burgers & Fries, Harry's Tap Room, an Asian cuisine, and a coffee shop.

One of the movie theater sets is planned for the new Brambleton shopping area.

The shopping center in front of the ice house by the new Shell will have a Let's Dish and a Beef O'Brady's pub. They have signs up in the windows. I think that there will also be the usual dry cleaners and nail salon.

Brambleton will have a movie theater (opening 2007), the Harris Teeter, a store called Serendipty (was told it is sort of arty furniture), a Caribou Coffee, a Cold Stone Creamery, California Tortilla, and Scotto's Rigatoni Grill. Check out www.madisonretailgroup.com for site plans for Brambleton, Ryan Park (by Home Depot), Loudoun Station, and South Riding.

Check out my earlier thread on Moorefield Station for the link to the web site about that development.

Anyone know what is going in on Wynridge - extension of Ridgeway? Are those houses at the corner before the stop sign to the Greenway - where it's all been flattened?

We are?!?!?! I must have missed that. I love the fact that they have a GF menu. Chipotle doesn't but my research has shown that most of the food is ok.

Not sure .. seems to be where the new firehouse is supposed to go ... however, there's no indications there that shows that.

hberg,
They've already begun construction on the Chevy Chase Bank in Brambleton (it's in the first phase) and I think the bookstore is part of the second phase.

In addition to the Target at Moorefield Station, there will also be a PF Chang's and an Eastern Mountain Sports. There's also a designation for a bookstore there too, but the site plan doesn't say whether it's been leased. There's already a Mobil gas station under construction at the Greenway and Loudoun County Parkway.

I heard a Harris Teeter employment ad on WTOP for the Stone Ridge store. I guess it must be opening soon. Here's a link to the leasing site for that center http://www.klnb.com/PROPERTIES/pdf/Retail/Stone_Ridge_Center/Overview/Stone_Ridge_Center_Overview.asp

Also, there's a proposed center at Route 50 and Route 606 that will have a Wal-Mart. Here's the link for the leasing site but it's out of date because I can't see that any work has been done yet at the site.

For Brambleton Town Center, people looking to check it out. Take Belmont Ridge Road towards where the new high school is being built. Take a right on Ryan Rd. (4 way stop) Cant miss it. Also there is a model in the Brambleton Community Center.

Shellhorn will be cul-de-sac'd before reaching Waxpool. There is a strip shopping mall approved for that triangle of land, however, the current owner is now shopping it out, not developing it themselves.

The next HOA Board meeting is next week ... I'm on the board, and I'll check with the VM representatives.

As far as where the Brambleton Town Center is going to be .. if you've driven down 659 lately, you'll see they've started to reroute it west around parts of Brambleton and the new High School. It will continue south to cross Ryan which it crosses now near the old sales location. They're building the town center now, so if you head south on 659, turn right at Ryan ...

Got the answer from Wes. He said a Harris Teeter and shops! I am waiting back to here delivery date and where site plan for that and the phase III of Safeway can be seen.

In fact the site plan for Wynridge shows the Harris Teeter, two fast food places, a drugstore, two banks, Dentist, Thai restaurant, two other restaurants, Martial Arts, Domino's, packaging store, Luna Day Spa, Dry Clearers, Great Clips,Cellular, Flooring.

NO STARBUCKS!! I am guessing since alot of the spaces are still open - some coffee place will fill in. I wish instead of fast food they would put a drive thru starbucks!

There will be three Harris Teeters in this area. 1-the already-open one up by Route 7; 2-Brambleton; 3-in the area being developed off of Wynridge Road.

sharse - the Harris Teeter will be going off Wynridge. Go down Claiborne, past the Nature Center and turn left (about 50 yds) onto Wynridge. You will see the empty space where the mall will go.

It is the "other" entrance into Broadlands off the Greenway.

There will actually be 4 Harris Teeters: Ashbrook Commons (open), Stone Ridge (opening soon), Brambleton (opening in October), and Broadlands (to be built).

I'd also heard that Harris Teeter had signed a letter of intent to open a store in Loudoun Valley Estates II.

I haven't found anything on the Van Metre nor the Broadlands developer's site on that area. Its being developed by Van Metre's commercial division, and they've been doing updates at the community update meetings the HOA has sponsored.

We should be having another one soon, so stay tuned for time and place.

Checked with Van metre at the HOA board meeting last night, Roy said that the list of stores previously posted here is 'interesting'. He could not confirm or deny any actual stores, as they are in negotiations for leases and are bound by confidentiality rules from saying anything until the lease is signed.

However, to see what will probably be the types of stores, he said to check out the Stone Ridge shopping plaza that they are getting ready to open.

The next HOA sponsored Developer's Update will be held in October/November timeframe. Please watch the newsletter and the forums for exact date and time.

Also ... found out what will be going in that area of land that has been cleared next to the Eastbound Toll Road onramp. That will be the location for the new Van Metre field offices.

Verified that it is part of the Broadlands there, however the land directly to the east of this location, is in Moorefield Station, and is supposed to be the new location for the fire station.
