We're aware of this problem that some people are seeing.
We think it's due to a recent security patch by Microsoft on a transport agent for a database connection. Since our hosting is run by an outside company it's harder for us to find and correct this problem.
For the time being, we have disabled forum notifications which seems to be the cause of the error.
