Anyone know who is responsible for removing the 2 foot black tarp used during construction as debris barriers and to help prevent bulldozing over common areas?

Our first silt fence was taken down by the guys who did the final landscaping/sodding for our property. I had to constantly remind them to do it, but by the end of the day they did take down most of it. The silt fence bordering the common ground next to my property was never taken down, so I did it myself a while ago. Note that it should only come down if there is no undeveloped land (where they still have to build something) on either side of the fence. Anyway, the best way to get it down, besides doing it yourself, is to call VM Customer Service and tell them to have it taken down. If they say they are not responsible, you could mention that now that VM is the builder AND the developer for Broadlands, this should clearly be their responsibility. If that doesn't work, call Bud Upright in Loudoun County. He is supposed to help homeowners in Loudoun deal with problems with builders. Hope this helps.
