I'm looking for references for a company to relandscape my yard. We're the 2nd owners of a 6-year old house. True to builder form, the bushes are all 6-inches from the house and have the appearance of no planning at all.
Any suggestions for comapnies would be appreciated.
Thanks.

We used Main Street Landscaping in Middleburg for our plan - cost about $450 for the plan itself for the entire property. Then each year we put a little bit in ourselves because we didn't have 20k to put into plantings...
We researched quite a few places and found Main Street to offer the most unique plan. Our neighbors both used Meadows Farms and have the same landscaping...
We're using Meadows Farms and we're very happy with the landscape design they made for us. The landscape consultant we used is Glenn Louis (17 years experience), his number is 703.327.5050 ext. 410. He designed a creative plan based on our budget and likes/dislikes. The design plan costs $25 and goes towards the work if you decide to go with Meadows Farms. Also, their plantings have a lifetime warranty.

I have always dealt with Merrifield Garden Centers. Usually the Fair Lakes location. They charge a nominal fee to come out and look at your area to provide a plan (about $100 I think). That cost will be applied against any purchase greater than $500 (plants alone qualify - they do not have to do the work).
IMHO, their plant selection is by far the best in the area.
