I bought my house 2 years ago from Washington Homes (on sundial ct out of chickacoane) and I really regret that. I already spent money on the boiler, changed the siding, fixed the heater and ac. The warranty is only 2 year. And of course ecerything goes bad after couple of years. Their service and warranty department are so rude. I will never recommend them to anyone.

I have been in my Washington Home for 4 years, and basically problem free. Be careful about posts like this that may have a detrimental value effect on all of us, when you may just have an isolated problem home. Potential homebuyers visit these sites, and read this stuff.

I've also had little problems beyond the punch out list issues that every builder seems to have. The York heaters/AC's are not the best but there is a 5 year warranty on parts for these. At least that was the case with mine.

I had a washington home townhouse built in Stafford about 12 years ago. It was a pretty decent home except the slope in the floor was out of county specs. Our neighbor had it worse than we did and their ceiling ended up being lop-sided when you look up at it. It was horribly ugly. Im surprised WH never came out to fix that. Our home alos had the polypropylene water pipes which tend to split and crack after a few years -- big lawsuit on that. I had far less quality conrol issues with the Washington homes townhouse ($130k) vs my NVHomes single family home of 2000 ($350k). You would have thought it would have been the other way around.....:(, in fact Im still having QC issues w/my NV home.
