Teen texting while driving

If you are the parent of a teenager, dark hair, driving an old white Porche with black and burgendy replacement panels and license plates that read "OMG WEE" please remind him to pay attention while driving through out neighborhoods in the mornings (or anytime for that matter!) while younger children are out waiting for buses and walking to school. He almost ran into my lane (and me) while texting and driving (a stick shift no less!) this morning!!!

Next time, I'm calling the cops.

 

As if driving and talking on the cell phone was not bad enough, now we have people trying to drive and text at the same time. That does not bode well for safety.

Do people really think they are that important that they need to phone/text while driving?

It is amazing that our country ever survived back before cell phones/texting.

Bdlander, I think you should have called the cops. How would you feel if tomorrow you read in the paper that this kid just wiped out some child on the way to school because he or she was texting?

Maybe a good cop-scare would convince this kid not to drive and text at the same time. I don't think he or she will change otherwise.

Texting and driving definitely do not mix. I remember seeing an interview about a year or so ago where a young lady said it was okay because she could look down and then look up.

Starting January 1, in California, it will be illegal for anyone to text and drive. This is not just an under 18 issue. I know plenty of 20 somethings that only know how to text and that age group is only get to get older.

You look at that video and the texting motorcycle rider actually is the best driver on the road. That entire video is full of idiots.
