    Has anyone else been charged by New Vision to haul big things away? They want $15 to take a king size mattress and $10 for a sofa-- which I don't blame them for charging extra for-- just want to make sure it's de riguer.
    And BTW, the stuff isn't even in good enough condition to Freecycle, or I'd do that.

    They took a sofa of ours without an extra charge. We called them and told them it would be out. They collected it with the regular trash - it was kind of cool to watch them compact it.

    They should not be charging for large items. Check with Wes at the HOA office.

    Great timing everyone. I have a broken couch that needs to go to the trash and I was wondering the policy on large items.

    So I guess they may make me pay to dispose of it? Thats cool with me. 10 bucks is worth the cost of not having to put it in my truck and take it to the dump.

    Free is better, but whatever.

    Wes, the Broadlands GM, just left a message on my vm. He spoke with the owner of New Vision and there should be no charge for special pick-ups. So... I won't be paying for the mattress pick-up on Thursday.

    sooo- if now you have TWO receptacles, are rules about trash cans being relaxed for those who can't physically store 2 green monsters? :)

    On my street they took my trash and my green monster yesterday (March 12) so we'll see if anyone picks up my trash on Monday. I did receive new trash and recycle bins. I still have my old green recycle bin, any idea when those might be picked up?

    New Vision will continue to pick up the trash and recycling through the end of March. Leave the recycling bin out on Thursday and put a note on it saying "Please take recycling bin".

    No...this area's bins and cans were already picked up and this one was not picked up...If the recycling bin is out when New Vision is doing pick up they will take their bin.

    I put the green monster out today...and they took my street's last week (i didn't have any trash on thursday)--i hope they take this one with them today--b/c i'm definitely done with it. I don't want my car in the driveway anymore :) If not--i may just find out where New Vision lives and leave my can in front of their office.
