When I was young, there was a mountain lion passing through near my grandmother's farm in Annapolis. Don't think I'll ever forget the sound of the scream it makes. My dad went out after it a couple of times but never found the mountain lion before it moved on.

I think I have seen something like that too! We caught it on our game cam. We live in Arkansas, it looks like raccoon, house cat, mountain lion, just a bunch of animals in one. The tail was about as long as the whole body with a black stripe down.

although very weird looking, that's not what I saw. Mine was way much larger, all tan, and a black tipped tail. Your animal is still a creepy looking animal!!!

It appears to be a cat. What is it that makes it look so weird?

I snapped this photo of such an animal last night in the field across from Harris Teeter....it seemed rather menacing.

A co-worker who lives on the ridge near Mt. Weather said that he has seen a mountain lion up there. A few years ago there was a report in the newspaper that a mountain lion was spotted in a tree near Lovettsville.

Try to remember not to run away and to look as big as possible.

I was walking my dog 10/17 at 8:00 AM and a large cat resembling a bobcat came out of the woods near the Nature Center. It ran like a large wildcat. Stared me down, then ducked into the woods behind Dunkin' Donuts. Posted by James William.

I just saw this post. After watching the game last night, I say we round up any of these animals we find and deliver them the the Skins practice field.

Maybe a little wild cat will help them.......:pofl:
