The threads you replied to when it was set to the default were set to 'subscribed with instant email notification'. What you changed was your default choice for NEW threads you reply to.

The forum tracks each thread you subscribe to independantly. So if you goto your UserCP, you can list all current subscriptions and edit the notification mechanism for each independantly if desired.

So what you were likely experiencing was earlier threads were still subscribed with notification.. and would continue to do so until you changed the subscription for that individual thread.

yes, but in terms of liability the owner of the site has abided by the law.

Does the 'I am over 18 yrs old' link on every porn site keep out minors? no, but its still there.

Does the fine print at the bottom of every car commercial REALLY keep people from being mislead?

Honestly, its just due diligence on our part. That's the last we are going to say on the topic.

I don't know if i screwed up, but yesterday to get on this for the first time I had to accept a new password that was E-mailed to me. The question is, how do I change this password to one that I can remember? I'm sure it's right under my nose, but I can't find where to do this. Thanks

Use your new password to log in and then go to the top bar that says USER CP once you click on that there is a place on the left hand side that says change id and password or something to that effect. There you can change it back to anything that you want

because it's spam - that gets removed as soon as we see it. You should always use the 'report post' link at the bottom of any posts you see problems with.

normally we get it before most people see it (there were actually 4 threads deleted yesterday).. but usually we like to sleep too, so things may linger for a bit before a mod comes along.

Hopefully this doesn't sound too naive...is this the type of spam kids can receive if it's not blocked by parents?
