UtiliQuest truck

There is a guy with a truck marked UtiliQuest going in the yards and looking around. I asked him if there was a problem and he said no he is looking at the gas meters. I asked if he was reading the meters and he said no. Has anyone seen this guy or know what he would be doing?

 

I called washington gas and they said that utiliquest is inspecting the meters for them. The guy could have said that instead of just saying he was doing his job,

Thanks for asking, there have been a few break-ins lately in the surrounding area - mostly through back doors.

Our system noted him on the property Friday, it also captures license plates if anyone ever needs one (highly doubtful). He did not check our meter though.

 

The reason I noticed him is that he was walking back and forth from my neighbors yard to my yard so I texted my neighbor as I thought maybe they had an issue that he was looking into. They said no they didn't know why he was there. When I went back outside he was looking in our other neighbors backyard so I asked him if there was a problem. He said no I am looking at the gas meters and I said oh are you reading them and he said no. I asked if he worked for washington gas and he said no utiliquest my truck is out front and then he said I am doing my job. He then went back to his truck and left a little bit later. I saw him the next day down the street. It was suspicious as he wasn't going from house to house in a row and it was right before dark when he was around. According to washington gas though that company is legit.
