I didn't say this, you have. For the sake of this argument that I've presented, and stuck to the same statements over and over, I'm done. Your attempt to get me to disclose personal details by calling my identity into question appears as if you want to look for some other angle to make a personal attack. Not going to happen, sorry. It doesn't matter, anyway. For all anyone should care, I am a homeowner on an HOA-maintained street, haven't seen our plow service since Saturday, and am voicing an opinion. I'm not going to play any of your other games.

Just think, in a couple of months this forum will be buzzing about the height of grass, the too infrequent grass cuttings of the landscaper, etc. I can't wait!!!

The contract is time and materials. It would be extremely difficult to get a contract tat gave a flat rate for a community of our size. Every snow even is different and some require longer, some shorter. We will not know whether a special assessment will be necessary for months when we've had a chance to fully review the invoices and analyze our financial status. When the blizzard of 2010 hit in February, the special assessment wasn't approved until June.

You're crossing a fine line as a staff member (whether paid or not), when you make veiled threats about outing an anonymous commenter because you don’t like their remarks/opinions. Hopefully, you're joking...but I didn't see a smiley

Well, if we really do not like someone, we still buy the first round... but it is a white zinfandel! :yuck:

Sunstoner...Amen. the Board hears what they want. They become defensive and abrasive when caught. We haven't seen a plow either. I Believe I saw a board member (I think was Eric) walk down our street taking pictures today. Our street sure doesn't look like his.
Again, it's not the plow companies fault. They are a great bunch of hard working people.

Hey, at least we're not being asked to powerwash the mildew off our siding. :)

Not painting you anywhere, but you made a statement, based on your opinion, that they weren't prepared enough. That would imply that you may have ideas of what preparations should have been made?
I do agree it is a rhetorical question because you couldn't have an answer......preparation was NOT the problem. They had every person, every piece of equipment running for days on end to do the job.
The fact that other areas are worse off may prove your point INCORRECT. If we are better off than some areas (many of which didn't receive as much snow), then that leads me to the opinion that the knowledge and experience our contractors have provided a better result than other area. They were prepared.

Where are they being defensive and abrasive? I have friends in communities around us that have not seen a plow either. You're just looking for excuses to attack the board - why is that exactly? It sure isn't about snow or plows.

Another sage post from the spreader of false, baseless rumors. Touche!
Caught doing what? Outing your false accusations?

Actually I live on Welby and the streets were cleaned last night. Not curb to curb, but I was able to drive out no problem. Today was even better. What street were you looking at?
