Our last promotional deal ran out, paying $36.24/month for 50/50. I base this on $29.99 for one year + a $75 cancellation fee. Granted that took a bit of work with the agent..

The best I could get them to offer was $59.99 for 100/100 (2 years). They claim to have no other lower priced plans available. I'm thinking of doing this, instead of letting it increase to $79.99.

Does anyone know when they might have some good deal coming up? I really wish they had like a $40-50 plan, we don't need the speed.

I don't really want to deal with Comcast...did that once, it was pretty bad. We are located in North Broadlands.

We just negotiated internet-only service with FIOS in Broadlands North as well. We were at 50/50 for $49.99/mo. But, we upgraded to 100/100 for $59.99/mo in the last week. Part of our motivation for the upgrade was to get them to come to the house and move the ONT inside, activate the ethernet port on the ONT, and remove their router from our system. We're happy that we now have ethernet directly to our own router. The only other price they gave us was $69.99/mo for 150/150. Also, we paid $99 for the service call. The service prices all have a 2 year commitment.

BTW, the ONT supports Gigabit. So, future speed changes just require a phone call....and of course more money!

Do they want you to pay for the router separately, too?

I'm don't think so, in the past that's been included in the amount

what you have presented doesn't sound that horrible. your options ... switch to comcast, look into satellite internet, use your phone as a wi-fi hotspot, or Verizon wireless jet pack. not sure you will find something more competitive than $59,99 for 100/100, which is decent throughput.
