I’ve been pleased with the auto service I’ve received from Honest One at Broadlands Village.

However, I was a disappointed in their attitude about enforcing the handicapped parking spaces. First, there are only two handicapped spots there, with another half dozen or more parking spaces out front. It’s not like there aren’t other places to park where they can keep an eye on the 2013 Corvette. The car is parked on the striped area between the handicap spots - the area for use for side entry vans.

When I noted this to the desk folks inside, they said, “It’s one of our cars.” (I’m guessing the manager/owner/employee.) A fellow customer noted, “And the Sheriff won’t ticket them on private property. The business has to call.”

Is this true? Seems to me that 90% of handicap spots are likely in shopping centers that are privately held. Does this mean a lot of them are unenforceable, unless the business contacts the sheriff for each instance? I don’t see that as feasible.

Also, the car is missing a front tag - in violation of the signs posted in the center parking areas about properly registered vehicles. (And a ticketable offense).

Sure, I’ve sent a head’s up to Saul Centers, but they’re so unresponsive on other matters I don’t expect much to come of it.

Sorry, just had to vent a bit. Not happy with a community business that ignores the law cause they can.

I'm not surprised reading this, they come off as shady and your typical auto-body thieves.
