Anyone dealt with changing their FIOS lineup recently?

They've completely rebooted all their offerings and bundling... nuking all their legacy product offers. I can't even change my optional add-ons now without being forced into this line scheme.

From everyone I've looked at... it looks like complete garbage in terms of value. I pay roughly $170 right now for two STB setup because I've been off promo for awhile and just haven't gotten to push them for something better. (well that screwed myself.. as I waited too long)

I've not been locked in contract pricing for at least a year.. probably two.. and they keep coming back with offers that basically have me pay $20 MORE than I'm paying right now for less (less internet speed, forcing me to ebill/auto pay, etc).

Anyone else looking to boot FIOS until they get their rear back in gear?

I can't speak to the TV and phone offerings as we dropped those a few years ago in favor of streaming Netflix / Amazon Prime / Hulu using Rokus.

But for Internet only we are very pleased with the "mix and match" pricing. We were paying $55 / mo for 100 mbps which I thought was great. Then when I saw the "mix and match" I was able to switch to that pricing for the same 100 mbps and it now costs $40 / mo. Both prices include auto pay which is a $10 / mo discount. I especially liked that I could do the change online without having to speak to a rep.

    Thanks for mentioning this.

I just did it although with verizon it is never easy...could only get 49.99 even after updating autopay to checking. But, they fixed it via chat and also upgraded me to 200Mbps.

P.S. I tried calling them at the same time, but they could not match the offer on the phone. Until after I ended the call that is, and they called me back and said they could do it...but by that time I had accomplished it via chat.

Glad it worked out for you. So you ended up with 200 Mbps for $39.99/mo?

Yes, although I did not ask for it - she added that at the end as I was thanking her for the help. Maybe I'll regret the 200M, Verizon can be tricky...

Honestly I'd be even happier at 25M and a lower price (not that the option exists), we don't use that kind of bandwidth.

I agree, even the 100 Mbps is more than we need. But, that's a great deal - congratulations!
