Good point. Another new user defending the Steakhouse. I wonder if the IP addresses of GeorgiaDog and Broadlands MaMa are the same.

If so, someone should remind them about the policy re. having multiple user names...

I'd like to throw my two cents in supporting B-Wing Factory. Although I am not a regular my High School kids are. B-Wing does a fantastic job of giving the kids a place to go, gather, eat, and socialize. They are very accommodating and the atmosphere fits "H.S. energy". B-Wing is a great member of the community.

I'll add one- really bad service. I don't know if it was this poor kid's first night or what, but it took us 2 hours to get out of there and a family of 6 seated after us had their drinks and orders before us. They were starting on dessert before we even got our entrees. Plus, we ordered a burger off the kids menu that wasn't cooked. Yuck.

By the way, I LOVED Buffalo Wing Factory when I lived in the Broadlands, and I didn't have any real complaint with the Steakhouse. I would be disappointed if the service/food at either of these locations has degenerated.

I didn't mean to hijack the thread with my previous posts, I just think it should be pointed out when an obvious attempt to influence a thread is made by someone with a vested interest in the comments made therein.

I ate at the Steakhouse last week and it was the worst Rib-Eye I had ever had there. What they were displaying in the showcase up front is NOT what they were serving.

I did go back a couple days later to watch some college games and have some beers (primary reason to go IMHO) and this time I had a burger which was pretty good.

    I am with you Pats.

Although I must admit, over the years, some of the more entertaining times on this forum have been based on nefarious attempts to influence the masses. (whispering Chris)

GeorgiaDog and BroadlandsMaMa can say anything they want - it doesn't change the fact that the Steakhouse has changed for the worse. I've always been a big fan and supporter of the Wing Factory. The Steakhouse has always been something on a different level. I'm afraid that it might be taking a step down. We'll see over time.

I started this hijacking, so I'll continue on why I poked on BWF. Beyond the decent wings -- if they cover them in sauce and cook them correctly -- which they didn't the other night: frozen french fries, frozen onion rings, kids burgers seemed to be frozen patties -- though I could be wrong there. Pizza, incredibly average. Service was so slow it was beyond frustrating. Fact is the place has a decent atmosphere and a few hot waitresses (there, I said it) and if you take that away it is a fryolator and microwave joint in a strip mall and that's about it. I honestly don't see an original item on their menu. With all the new competition moving in they need to step up in my opinion. I could be wrong, but I bet business is off based on what I have seen.

We tried Orchid Thai last night and were quite pleased. We had the appetizer sampler, two entrees, wine and a soft drink and the bill came to about $40 plus tip. That’s hard to beat around here for a full service restaurant. Food was very good. Service was great.
However, I was surprised at how slow the business was. Do folks around here not like Thai?

I have noticed many of the restaurants (other than when they first open) are fairly empty in the evenings locally. I think it's just an issue of supply and demand, there is a great supply right now (and many more coming online in the next few months) and I just don't think the demand is there for all of these restaurants. It is nice to have so many choices now, but you also don't want to go to a restaurant and be the only people there (although my father loves that type of atmosphere).

Anyone have good feedback on IHOP? We went last weekend and it started out ok. The waiter was very attentive but after our order was taken it went way downhill from there. It turned out SO bad that we refused to leave a tip! It's not a good thing when you return to the table with everyone's order (3 out of 4 that you came back with wrong) and without the 4 year old's order! She was in tears...she just wanted her smiley chocolate chip pancake that the waiter completely forgot about! He also screwed up everyone else's order except one! Then he just vanished! We finally had to get the manager to get our check...and our 4 year old's order...poor kid! He started off great but was rotten after the order was taken! I'm hoping it was a fluke...anyone else want to share experiences there (other then the fact that a sex offender works there)?

We went to IHOP this morning and didn't care for it. Part of it was somewhat uncontrollable as we had the table right across from the cashier and the draft coming in that front door was horrible. I was wrapped up in my coat the whole time I was there. When the food came our cinnamon roll french toast was still runny and uncooked in the middle. Sent it back but didn't get another one until well past the time we finished everything else. Don't think we'll be heading back there for a while. I prefer Bob Evans for breakfast anyway.

Anything new on the changes at the steakhouse? Is it still going down hill?
Anyone been there in the past week or so?

We went to the Steakhouse on Sunday. It was fine. The server was very good and didn't have any issue with my husband and I splitting a prime rib. I like the new menu. At least there are now some options if you don't want red meat. Before, it seemed to me, like that is all there was.

Ummm, I think that's why they call it a Steakhouse...;)
