Yikes sorry to hear about your service...or lack there of. We've only sat down to eat there once and it was fine. However as we all know it is a popular place on the weekends...so we've actually placed our orders to go. Last weekend I woke up with IHOP served to me in bed, it doesn't get much better than that. My hubby just popped the containers in the microwave for 30 seconds...and my breakfast was piping hot!

Wow... went to the Steakhouse the other day with the family and what a disappointment. My family used to really like that place and now it's menu has changed, items missing, what stayed is not as good. Our only complaint about the 'old' Steakhouse was the never changing daily special and the smoke but the menu items were always good. Now the whole experience is bad.

We tried Panache this morning and the food was good. Service was the worst I've had in years, anywhere! We had to ask for water, bread, utensils, and missing items. The waiter was never around and when he was in the room he would look at the floor as if to avoid someone trying to get his attention. I even had a hard time giving them my money! Everyone else seemed nice and like I said, the food was good. We'll give them another try one day.

I haven't seen anyone here mention Tijuana Flats Burrito Company in Ashburn. They're pretty good for 'new-mex' and the burrito ingredients are fresh.

I have been to the Steakhouse twice in the past month and a half, once on a Friday night and another on a Saturday night. The bar area was PACKED each time and drinks were flowing! I wonder if the new owner is concentrating more on becoming a late-night, younger adult hangout than a family dinner establishment?

I think it is a bar thinly disguised as a steakhouse.

I have never had a bad meal there, but I have never considered the place a good "value"...

I think it is wayyyyy overpriced...and now with recent changes, it's even moreso...

I had a steak a couple of weeks ago that was $21+, IIRC. That's heading towards Morton's and Ruth's Chris' territory....

We go there all the time for lunch on weekends. Great food.
Much better than Moe's. The food is better, they bring it to your table and they get drink refills for you.

Are you talking about the one in the AC Moore shopping center? My wife and I tried that place, and haven't been there since due to the lack luster experience. If you say they have improved, then maybe it might be worth trying again.

I find it odd that the quality of mexican food around here is so poor, especially considering that NoVA is the site of the much overhyped undocumented worker center.

The hispanics around here especially in construction perfer chineese. I know I have bought them more meals then I can remember and it is always chineese.

Also the hispanic food here is not much like you would get in Mexico or central and South America. Most of it is a variation of Tex Mex.

I agree with Brim rio grande is one of my favorites and my parents would take me to the original in dallas called Uncle Julio's and I think it still is.
Yes I grew up in Dallas Houston and my favorite city Austin.

A real treat is when one of my hispanic friends invites us over for a real hispanic meal.

Also many of these immigrants make more money then you can dream I know personally several that pull in 7 to 8 million a year in construction and half of that is pure profit for them.

Agreed. It was good but in the last 2 years the service has declined to a level I've never seen. The last time I went was for lunch. There were 3 of us. We were practically the only people in the place. Our food took over an hour to come out. We never saw our waiter and never got one drink refil. My taco had sat so long under the heat lights that the hard taco was now a mush taco and the rest of my food was cold.

That was the third time in a row we had service like that. I will never go back even if I hear they have gotten better.

Just thought I'd say thanks for the suggestion to go to Emilio's for good pizza. I tried them the other night, and the pizza was excellent.
