No conspiracies here. I agree with the post from mwb2218. The owner had no idea about this forum before it was already started.

I said in an earlier post that I would be going there tonight and that I would report on the experience.

My wife and I went there tonight as planned and it was delightful. We enjoy good Thai food and tonight it was wonderful. It also appears that they are listening to people's comments on this forum about service issues. Our service was as excellent as the food.

I am sure this will be one of the hits of the Broadlands. My recommendation is to give it a try. I think you will be glad you did.

Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time at Anothai tonight. The food was better than I expected. The service was great and you can't miss the desert, you have to try the mango with sticky rice. Anothai rocks:rockon:

Dalyn and I stopped there last night and had an delightful meal. The crispy duck salad me and my wife notice had wonderful flavors coming from every bite even a hint of mint. The softshell crab was fresh and again beautiful flavors with every bite with this very tasty sauce.

Lalida the owner came over and introduced herself and told us this great story how she come over here years ago and also how she started this restaurant.
Dalyn said she has the perfect personality for a restaurant and is going to do very well both with the incredible service and as important or more important the wonderful dishes.

I highly recommend Lalida's place and what a surprisingly delightful meal and evening.

I'm not typically a Thai fan, but after all these great reviews feel it is a "must try".

Thank you Scott, Bob, Lee, Dalyn and all of you (whom I can't figure your real names from the logins yet) who took the time to post such encouraging words on the forum. For those who haven't tried Thai food, please at least come in for a drink. Like I said, I love talking to people. ;)

    Lalida.

The food is great but the service and atmosphere set this place apart. The owner has a wonderful personality. We loved this place and like Orchid Thai too. It is so nice having options. Remember when Ruby Tuesday's was the best you could do in Ashburn?

My wife and I had dinner there the other night, and altough there was some mix up with the items we ordered they made it up by giving both items to us on the house. The food was excellent, but when I see that "spicy" symbol next to the dish I expect it to be SPICY.... :p no worries I normally just ask for a spice rack... The food was very tastey, but for some reason 4 out of the 5 items we ordered were lukewarm.

We love the atmosphere, and we were greeted right away. Where as when we went to Orchid Thai, we waited about 10 min and was never even greeted, so we just left. we used to eat at Tum Tip Thai in sterling but ever since the owner moved to Leesburg we stopped going there and don't really frequent Leesburg, so Anothai is going to be our new Thai spot. :D

Anyone have the phone number for this place. My hubby is going to pick it up on his way home, but I can't find a number anywhere.

    Thanks

My wife and I visited Anothai for the first time today and were very pleased with both the service and food. Each item was as good or better than comparable items at the other area Thai places. We will return.

    Cliff,

What about Ashburn Farm? We promote discounts for Broadlands HOA at all the places we get discounts.

T8erman, T8ertot and I went back to Anothai (I didn't go the first time and I felt left out!) and I have to give a shout out for the Panang Curry. I had the beef and it was TERRIFIC. Just delicious.

T8ertot was out of control awful, but the only other people there were neighbors and people we knew, so they gave us a hall pass on the wild toddler. Service was great and atmosphere is very nice.
