Nice review. Thanks for posting. Intersting that it is the same owner as Domani's. Ate there once and thought it was abysmal. Mezza is fantastic!

    Thanks Gryphon.

We went and the food was great as well as the service. The baklava was awesome.

For those that care about which businesses routinely ignore the HOA's request to not put road spam signs out in Broadlands, I thought you'd like to know this establishment is one of our continuing violaters.
Mezza Grill has been verbally asked at leat 4 times to stop posting these signs on the HOA's property. I have personally spoken to the Manager, Robert, 3 times. Mezza Grill continues to post these signs. Your HOA dollars are spent paying someone to remove these signs.

Haven't seen them posted on HOA right-of-ways. Wyndridge is Commercial Property Assn. At this point, Van Metre said it would be hard for them to enforce the rules on other businesses in the CPA areas since they themselves are one of the biggest violaters!
But yes, if I see them they will be removed and I will personally talk to the establishment.

Mezza Grill continues to litter our community with their spam signs. In addition to myself, a few residents have also removed signs and asked the owner to stop. They continue to ignore the desires of Broadlands residents and the HOA.
It is clear this establishment does not care about our community.
Something to think about when you choose to spend your restaurant dollars.

We all make choices for our own reasons. There are plenty of restaurants around with food just as good. For Greek/Mediterranean, try Ambrosia.

Maybe they aren't doing well and just trying to survive, who knows. The only place I've seen their signs is at the shellhorn/waxpool intersection. What has the owner said to you?

I agree we should boycott them! There are other ways to promote their business.

Each time he told me he would take care of it and stop. On one occasion, I spoke to him in the morning and they were put out that afternoon.
They are removed as soon as they are seen by: myself, other HOA employees, other residents.

That explains it. If the owner is the same as Domani's then I get the whole deal -- be churlish to the customer. Don't go out of the way to listen to ways to improve the food. Get defensive.

I gave up on Domani's and after two visits stopped going to Mezza Grill, put off by the attitude.

I can't even remember now what I didn't like about one dish or side, but when I brought it to their attention and asked to substitute they basically told me to go fly a kite.

It's a sad refrain - local, close by restaurants that aren't very good, so you can't take advantage of the proximity.

Mezza Grill is great. We eat there at least 5 or 6 times a month.

Viewed in a vacuum, Mezza Grill may be OK. But when compared to other Mediterranean, Middle Eastern restaurants the food isn't that great. Certainly not worth the money.

So several people love the place, including our family yet you seem to discount or demean others opinions.
It must be tough to have such an educated palate and not have the luxury of numerous gourmet restaurants nearby.

    T8erman,

Look, if I remember the meat was very bland. Not marinated or seasoned that much. There were other issues for someone who is used to good Middle Eastern food - simple stuff, not gourment -- but I can't remember them all. It's been awhile and I don't go there anymore.

Suffice it to say, the place has the patina of an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant but the taste and value leave much to be desired.

Don't know what vacuum you live in, but having visited plenty of other Middle Eastern establishments, thier food is pretty good. As for the value, I do think that most if not all thier meals are well worth it.
