Anyone else seeing miserable performance today on numerous websites?

Some are fine.. others are just slower then dial-up. disneyshopping.com, sketchers.com, and others are barely usable.

speed tests from speakeasy look ok, but many websites are just unusable today.

Anyone else seeing similar with comcast?

Sure am. Just called and talked to mrlinux as well. Speed tests seem ok, but I can't get into any site with SSL. I've been trying to send a Yahoo email for the last hour, I can't attach any files. It just times out.

This looks like the same problem we had last week! I couldnt log into forums.worldofwarcraft.com plus when I logged into the main game I'd crash out after 30 sec. Problem was some router within Comcast I think linked over to their main site. Servers outside that area (like in Boston) were fine...

We're not the only ones that are having problems.

    http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,18450010

    Check that out.

On that page I found a link to the Comcast Network Health:
    http://online.comcast.net/networkhealth/outagecheck.aspx

Mine doesn't show anything on that page...

People there are saying its a SSH/SSL problem. I just tried a few SSL sites and most I cant get in. I was able to log into comcasts email page (which I never look at) but was unable to connect to a SSL page at work nor Comcast web chat support page (http://www.comcastsupport.com/chatwithus/userchatstartcom.asp).

How about today? The network connection keeps dropping at the homestead.

Any other comcast users getting decent speeds? The uploads are about 4x what they used to be.

I don't know anything about this stuff. But comcast is moving and adding a whole bunch of channels tomorrow.
Could that have something to do with this?????
