Went last night as it was the first time they were open to the public. The wife and I both had the beef brisket sandwhich which we thought was good. The sauce could've had a little more of a kick to it but overall we enjoyed it.

Having gone to school in the South I've had a lot of bbq, so if it was bad I'd say it, but it was not a bad meal. The service was great, Manager was going from table to table as was the owner, both very nice and personable. Definitely check it out, great addition to the BVC.

bet you can ASK for a kick- they've got to make things palatable for children and ppl who can't handle spices... :) even at sushi bars, we ask for the good stuff for the wasabi- i've regretted it once!

We also went there and while the decor and service was good, we weren't that impressed with the food. I got the ribs and they were more peppery than BBQ. Hubby got the pork sandwich and said it was just "a'ight"...

ok- a favorite style of BBQ, likes cars and pets- is a pretty personal thang and up for interpretation. this is what _I_ require in bbq: flavor infused from end to end, tenderness- falling off the BONE tenderness- and as little fat as possible. THIS is what I just got from Bluz Brothers!

i was quite impressed with how well trimmed the ribs were, and i enjoyed the flavor- peppery, smoky, not overdone. i tried the tangy sauce- better for wings, imo, and the house bbq- very nice- sweet, rich and finger lickin' thick!

i got the mac n cheese and baked beans since those remind me of home AND i can't get mac n cheese at Red Hot n Blue or Famous Daves, this won MAJOR points with me. both were good- solid, homemade tasting- no fancy frills that turn into something other than what you would get at a down home bbq. i like bbq simple, i'll go to Cafe Panache when I want fancy. :)

anyone who likes bbq owes this place a visit. get the ribs dry and try different sauces! that's all i'll say here... except that service was very attentive and friendly, the place is clean, looks cool, and will be a nice venue for loud live music! i'm sure my alter ego will have plenty to say about this solid addition to the neighborhood, but definitely plan to give it a try and share you opinion here.

Went tonight at 6pm. They brought us homemade potato chips to the table with 4 different sauces to try. Yum! Between all of us, we had the chopped pork, bbq chicken, brisket, ribs, etc. All very good. As far as sides, the Ceasar salad was good but small, the mac and cheese was really good and the sweet potato fries were everyone's favorite! Skip the regular french fries - not worth it. Only downside - the kitchen was backed up and a little slow but they just opened so it is expected. The manager apologized twice, so that made up for it. Bottome line, we will go back, the food was really good.

Ate there the other night and the it was, as the other poster said, "a'ight." The chips and 4 sauces were good. Hubby liked the bbq chicken and ribs. Brisket wasn't all that great and very fatty. Have to admit that although I like patronize the mom and pop shops, I'd rather eat at Famous Daves (or Rudy's in Austin!!!!!!).

We went the other evening and were very pleased with our experience. For us it was so much better than Famous Daves. We really enjoyed it.
