    Hi,
Could anyone please suggest a good dentist in Broadlands\ashburn area?
I read some reviews on Broadlands Family Dentistry near safeway and seems like it isn't that good.

    Thanks in advance.

Well I went to a new dentist today, because my old dentist is in Reston and I wanted to find someone local. I am very very pleased and can already highly recommend him.

The dentists name is Dr. Rick Rios, and he is at 44340 Premier Plaza, Suite 200. The phone number is 703-858-4222, the website is riosdentistry.com.

He did a very thorough exam, took a lot of time with me, and according to his staff he is also called Dr. NoPain ... very important to me. He has excellent chairside manners ... well I am impressed.

I am going back in a couple of weeks, but I recommend you check him out.

Hubby and I both go to Dr. Han who is in those professional buildings at the corner of Ashburn Farm Parkway and Claiborne... across from the Giant. We've been going there for a few years and while we've only gotten cleanings (thankfully we've not needed anything else) we're perfectly happy.

I've been going to Dr. Raonld Ray and Associates since we moved here 8 years ago - they are located next to "Karate Bagels" on Ashburn Village Pkwy. I've been extremely pleased with everything they've done for me over the years from regular checkups to a root canal.

What I can really rave about is their emergency care. When I popped a crown off over the summer, it was back on, cemented in place within 45 minutes of losing it.

When my mom was visiting a couple of weeks ago from Florida, she had a temporary bridge come off. They didn't just put it back on but after looking at it, determined that her temporary was not made well and made one that actually fit. My mom has switched dentists at home baesd upon that and was very pleased with the way she was treated as a non-regular patient.

Dr. Ann Hebda. She is across from the fire station on Ashburn Rd. Most thorough exams I've ever had and very gentle (I'm not a big fan of going to the dentist).

I've been to Dr. Ray's office several times and thought it was just okay. I didn't see Dr. Ray except for the initial consultation. What bothered me was the lack of interest in me shown by the dentist (Dr. Navar) I saw. There also was a lot of personal chatter by the staff in the hallways and since there are no doors to the exam rooms, this seemed unprofessional. These aren't big things but they still mattered to me. Your mileage may vary.

check to make sure the Dentist is a member of the American Dental Association first of all. The dentist at Broadlands Dentistry is not a member. Dentists that aren't members makes you wonder what kind of work they actually do.

While I would expect a Dentist to be a member of the ADA, a dentist who belongs to some of the other professional dental associations may be equally well qualified.

I would not automatically exclude a dentist who chooses not to be a member of the ADA as long as they have the proper state certifications and belong to other professional associations.

Perhaps the dentist disagrees with the ADA's position on fluorosis or mercury?
