    I think it's the persistent enforcement on that road.. not the risk of fines.

    That reminds me of waxpool in front of MCI... notice how there is NEVER any police along that road since the speed limit increased? Don't let anyone tell you enforcement along there was because of safety issues or abuse. It was because it was EASY PICKINGS! Maybe the Sherriff just needs to see how many tickets he can support along these roads.

    That was a complete "accident". The child chased a ball into the street and was hit by a woman who had just come out of her driveway from the next door house. She was easily under the speed limit (severa head trauma was the cause).

    At the driver's license ceremony they actually have live speakers address the new drivers. People who have been involved in terrible accidents, people who have lost loved ones, and similar stories are definitely relayed. Believe me, there isn't a dry eye in the audience.

    There was a police SUV sitting right next to redrum this morning on my way into work. I think he was napping though heh. Looked like he was trying to get people still in the 35mph section before it opens up to 45

    I've seen them between regency and the 4 way stop... more enforcing at the 4 way stop. But I have yet to see them up near MCI where they would always camp out before.
