Has anyone added a fireplace to a room in their house, I'm considering adding a fireplace in the Master bedroom and I'm looking for suggestions of who to call for this kind of work and where to find good prices on the purchase. Thanks

try QVC or HSN they have beautiful FP free standing and you use gel cans to light them up, they are around $300 to $500 , they have corner ones and flat ones and in many colors

We added a ventless gas fireplace to our family room on the middle level of our TH. We purchased the gas fireplace unit and corresponding wood mantel (assembly required) from Lowes for around $700 and had Wacker Plumbing run the gas line and hook-up the unit for about $1,300. Running the gas line in my case was fairly unintrusive. I only had to patch a 12" square hole in my drywall ceiling in the basement.
