lol... I was driving in that neighborhood the other day and thought the same thing :) And also wondering if he was sunning himself in some other country, thinking it was a matter of time until they nabbed the dude.

Ugly house with a terrible vista. If you "had" that money would you really buy a Toll brothers McMansion overlooking Belmont Ridge Road!

Then why bother making that statement if you don't have anything to back it up?

I've often wondered why people buy/build huge houses right off of a road. I think the answer is that so people can see that you have it.
Have you all seen that wacky house off of (I think) Sugarland/Rt 7? On the right. Looks like an odd Taj Mahal or something. Same idea.

Some people just want to show off but if you grew up in a big loud city then being on the road probably will not bother you much. Also the lot can be up to 50% less than one off of a main road.

I used to wonder the same thing before I got into the biz...

The link, in and of itself, supports my statement.

I don't think the link supported your statement at all. I read it to say he was apprehended in Texas. Nothing about crimes he committed there, although I wouldn't doubt it.

Re: Original Steakhouse owner-El Atari, busted...

No it doesn't. He was arrested in Austin, TX for suspicion of bank fraud, most probably here in the DC area. There was a warrant out for his arrest and they found him in Austin. He wasn't attempting the same scam down there, and nowhere does it say that in the article. "Never divulge your sources." - Yea, when you can't back up the statement you're making, take the easy way out...

    Nice try...

Want to convince me otherwise? Show me something that says he was running the same scam down there when he was arrested. Otherwise, my statement still stands: Don't bother making a statement like that with nothing to back it up and then try to hide behind some veil of 'secrecy of sources'...
