If you are looking for an experienced, certified, and professional master plumber call or email Dan Edwards of Dan Edwards Plumbing immediately at 703-928-0022 / DanEdwardsPlumbing@gmail.com.

After calling several plumbers and receiving a few estimates for a natural gas extension to my deck (so I could hook up a natural gas grill), I choose Dan and I’m glad I did.

Dan was knowledgeable, prompt, and extremely professional. He was able to assess the job quickly, come up with a great solution, and give me a fair quote. He showed up when he said he would and got the job done right… he truly did fantastic work. Dan added an extension to the gas manifold to accommodate the new line and ran it to the deck and exactly to where I wanted the grill. He took all appropriate safety precautions and installed shutoff valves at both ends of the line. He took care of the permit and met the county inspector at my property to ensure everything went smoothly. When the grill was delivered, Dan installed and tested it. He had me grilling in no time!

Dan also does kitchens and bathrooms as well as all other types of plumbing work. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Dan again, but this time I’ll call him first instead of wasting my time elsewhere!

ok so gimme an idea of a cost estimate for this? And did you have to do anything special to the grill in order for it to work? I think there is an adapter for this, if you have a grill that uses propane tanks...?

Just trying to get an idea of this is worth the expense.

Depending on where you need to run the gas line from and to, I'd imagine the cost will vary. Depending on how difficult it is the run the line will also play into the cost. Mine cost a few hundred to run.

I had a natural gas connection before I moved into my current home in the Broadlands. It was fantastic not to have to worry about the propane tanks and I'm sure I saved a bunch by not having to worry about refills. (I grilled a lot, year round) When I moved here I converted the grill to propane since I didn't have a NG connection. Because of the inconvenience I found myself using the grill less and less. Because I've finally gotten the NG line installed, I decided to treat my self to a new NG ready grill, and I'm ready to get back to grilling as much as I used to.

The cost to convert your grill will depend on the type of grill and the availability of parts. Depending on its age, it may just pay to get a new NG ready grill.
