Does anyone know when the ballfields off of Belmont Ridge opposite Truro Parish will be open and also when/if there will be any football/soccer fields put in there?

I coach Dulles Little League, and we have been talking about using the fields next spring. I don't know when other sports might use them.

I don't know a whole lot about this park, but a reliable source told me that there would be no football fields due to a shortage of usable space in there. It will be nice to see SOMEONE start to use it! It has been such a shame to see such a nice location sit idle for all of this time. The baseball fields have been there at least 18 months (the first time I saw them).

The Belmont Ridge park has two fenced-in baseball fields. Don't know if softball is somehow a different size.

There is a large open space on the south end of the park--doesn't look like it has a purpose right now. I'd favor a dog park going in.

I took my dog to the park several weeks ago when it was possible todrive down to the edge of the woods. He disappeared for a long time--no doubt he made it to the water and was splashing around. It would be nice to have human-accessible trails as well.

I'm not sure what the rules are for water access, as that is part of the watershed for the water treatment plant.
