If you don't have a school aged child, you may be unaware of an extremely easy way to help our neighborhood schools earn money. Just link your Giant, Harris Teeter or Safeway card to one or more schools. Each time you use your card at checkout, the store donates a portion of your purchases back to the school. You can go online and link your card or you can stop by the Customer Service Desk at any one of these stores and they will be happy to assist you in linking your cards.

Mill Run earned over $4000 last year with only a couple hundred families linking their grocery cards. Imagine the additional educational supplies and materials that each school could purchase if all of Broadlands linked their cards?

Here are the codes for each of the schools:

    Mill Run
    Harris Teeter: 5847
    Safeway: 154569649
    Giant: 03800

    Hillside
    Harris Teeter: 5196
    Safeway: 6515606
    Giant: 03607

    Eagle Ridge
    Harris Teeter: 5957
    Giant: 04232

Don't forget, you need to re-link your grocery cards every year in order for our schools to earn money. Harris Teeter is open for re-linking as of August 1st.

Even if you don't use HT for most of your grocery shopping, every little bit helps towards the total amount earned.

It's time to re-link grocery cards for our local schools. Mill Run was #11 in earnings from Harris Teeter last year. Legacy Elementary was #7. Impressive!

Briar Woods HS participates in the Harris Teeter program but not in the Safeway program. Anyone know who is in charge of setting that up?
