I sort of addressed this in my earlier post, but we have two FULL busloads at the top of the hill. When they come back DOWN the hill past Stone Hollow they are full and there's no more room.

Gotcha on the bus being full on the way down...didn't know that. Thanks for enlightening me on that. Guess the folks at top of the hill are getting their money's worth out of the property taxes they pay to the county.

The busing of the kindergartners one way has everything to do with the fact that they don't want the Kinders walking by themselves ( no other kids around). It is a safety issue, not a distance issue. If they are within the distance boundary and not crossing anything larger than a two lane road, you are a walker. You could live across the street from a school, but if you live on the other side of a four lane road, you must ride the bus or be driven. While it may seem silly to bus kinders that live down the street, I can understand them not wanting to release them to walk, without older siblings or friends to walk with.

It should be based on distance, imo.
