Not sure where to post this.....sad topic of concern for Broadlands or maybe even Loudoun Alert!

Just and FYI--Pottery Barn Outlet at Leesburg Factory Outlets is closing Jan 22. Just went there today--big sign, sad faces, loaded carts.. Something about the lease agreement with the property management. So sad :(

Not surprised the Pottery Barn Outlet is closing. There space was too small to be effective. I've been to Pottery Barn outlets in PA and MA and they were double the size and actually had product I wanted in them. This one has always been a little disappointing... I felt like they were selling me knick knacks that they created to sell there... or old sheets. Crate & Barrel I was sad to see go... but they still have an outlet in Alexandria.
I've never noticed a Lee Jeans outlet... really?

The center in general is really pushing toward a more upscale market. Not surprising given the demographic numbers we always see published about our area. I just wish outlets would go back to be Outlets... not Factory Stores where stuff is actually manufactured to be sold there (Thanks Coach and Ann Taylor for starting this trend)

I agree that this PB outlet was lame. Crappy stuff and never marked down enough when seriously damaged. It think all Crate And Barrel stores are suffering, not just the outlets. The biggest mistake they made in Tysons was moving to that separate store that is so miserably inaccessible.

If anything... I wouldn't be surprised to start finding PB "knick-knack" stuff in Williams-Sonoma... after all they are the same company.

It was a sad day when I went to the outlets and saw CB was closed!! I agree with Pottery Barn though. I actually stopped going in there b/c there was never anything in there I wanted.

I found I would always go in the PB Outlet hoping to find something for me but instead I found steals on the PB Kids side. I still have PB Kids quilts from 12 years and 10 years ago (they look brand new today) and was thrilled to find a new one for around $45 and a sham to match. I'll miss walking in there. I do sincerely hope Williams-Sonoma is staying, as I can't go in there without buying something!
