House Fire on Stone Hollow

    For those in Southern Walk who heard the siren and/or smelled the smoke, one of the houses under construction on Stone Hollow (the first one on the right after you turn from Ridgeway) caught fire this evening. It looks like the fire dept has it under control, and luckily the down-wind house is not occupied either.

    Fire Department was fairly quick to repond .... For couple of minutes it looked like other houses could have caught on fire ... due to very very windy condition ... around 6:30 PM

    I first saw the fire at around 6:25 because I live two houses down from this house, and I belive the people living next to me called the fire department. I first smelled the smoke around 6:11 but didn't think anything of it. I don't think i've seen any fire like that.

    Any word on the cause of the fire? Was it contruction worker's smoking in the attic again?

    Called Loudoun county fire marshall and they said they should have an offical report within couple of weeks ... :(
