Everyone is invited to the Cookies for Childhood Cancer event being held December 13 from 6-8:30 at the Mill Run Elementary School gym. (this is not a school sponsored event, we are just using the space)

Our Loudoun County community has been hit hard in the past few years; too many children are being diagnosed with cancer- this fundraising event will be splitting all the money brought in that night with 4 different local organizations- Journey 4 a Cure, I Promise 15, Smashing Walnuts, and Team Mathias. Journey 4 a Cure and I Promise 15 are foundations that began here in Broadlands.

So come on over December 13 and choose some baked goods to bring home or eat there- we will have 2 sizes of packaging to choose from, and you can then choose what goes inside! There will be silent auctions- right now we have 8 weeks of tennis lessons, 2 hours of a home organizer, 4 -somes of golf, massages, hair cuts/highlights, 3 hours of handyman time, photo sessions, party packs, jewelry and more! We will have smaller raffle items as well. We are still taking items for the silent auction or raffle- please message me if you would be interested in donating. Scouting groups- might be a project for your troops- to make up a raffle basket! You can also write a letter to Santa that will be brought to Macy's for their Make a Wish Campaign, and check out other tables for information on how you can help spread awareness.

We are looking into live music, face painting and more!

There will also be a box accepting donations for the boxes that Journey 4 a Cure sends to children going through cancer treatments in the hospital - small bottles of hand sanitizer, lip balm, i tunes cards, fuzzy socks, journals, crayons and coloring books, small stuffed toys and small Lego sets.
