I am tired of receiving calls from 201 351 7760 claiming to be a 24/7 tech support and that they are receiving signals from my computer that it is downloading viruses etc.
I have tried everything from not answering the call to answering in negative ..Usually they try to make me log in to a site ( I never do that) but today it reached a level of vulgarity.

What can I do? Is there a way to block a specific number? report to police? what can they do? I googled this number and see that lot of people go thru this.

Block the call or just don't answer it, and report the scam.

I tried not answering it and I get called repeatedly. If I answer atleast I wont get called in the nest couple of days.
I will have to figure out how to block this number.

Answer "Secret Service Field Office" or "Police Department" or anything of that nature and I'm sure they'll hang up on you.

I filed a complaint with Loudoun County police, FTC and FBI. I doubt anyone will take a look at it though :-(

We got those calls constantly and when I finally answered I was laughing at the guy. He was so serious and practiced. Would not go off script. No matter what i said. Finally I just asked him to tell me the windows key that was compromised and he hung up and they have never called back. You could also just say you use a mac and no PC'S running windows exist. If they think they can getcha they won't stop calling as far as I can tell.

The tone these guys take is crazy. Even though I knew right away it was a scam I did double check my system security. I don't see how this is legal but I had a lot of fun with it lol

Just received this call again, comes up as SEATTLE (206)309-5551. Reported it via the non-emergency police number and they won't take it over the phone has to be submitted online and I don't have the time. Just wanted to publish the number here since its the first time its come up on caller ID.

By the way, used the "I have a Mac" suggestion and worked like a charm, fella called me a POS and hung up.
