    Hi -
I'm looking to install a basement bar in my house. Does anyone know a good contractor that could do this kind of work?

    Appreciate any feedback.

    Steve,

I had mine done by my neighbor Mark Petitt. His firm is Creative Woodwork Design (find on facebook). Here is a link to some pictures of my basement and a video of the project. https://vidal.box.com/s/4fyexco2urbj7gllb8yk

Good luck. There is quite a bit of variance in pricing across contractors around here. I thought Mark did a good job of adding uniqueness while keeping me closer to the lower end of the cost scale.

    Cheers,
    Carlos

Just to define, the scope of the project: beyond the structural changes to accommodate a bar, I'd want to install a sink and probably a small fridge.

There are some design elements to it as well as practical considerations.

I am in the process of finishing my basement, including a fairly large custom bar including a copper sink, small beverage cooler, ice maker, kegerator and dishwasher. I had access to my main water supply without access issues. But for the bar construction, I used this place over off of Red Rum behind the Verizon HQ. http://www.creativeworksllc.com/

The Owner, Chris is a master craftsman and really good at design. From what i could see, he does small to large projects and can do custom or off the shelf work. When mine is done (1-2 weeks) I will try and host a "showing" and get some of the neighbors over....stay tuned or feel free to come over to see.
