Purple Heart Donations stolen?

    Yesterday, I left a large donation outside yesterday for Purple Heart to pick up (flyer said they would be on the street picking up donations). When I returned from work, the donation was gone, but there was no receipt. I called this morning to inquire about getting a receipt and was informed that there was no record of any donation picked up from my home and if no receipt was left, they had not picked up the donation. The woman suggested someone had come and taken it.

    I was curious if anyone else left any donations for Purple Heart out yesterday and if so, if the donation was picked up and a receipt was left? I can't believe someone would drive around just grabbing stuff - but maybe I'm naive...

    In the past, Purple Heart has left the receipt in the handle on the garage door, or between the door and the seal of the garage door. Did you check there, perhaps that's where it was left?

    I looked everywhere (and even the neighbors yard hoping it had been blown away) Nothing anywhere. :(

    They were supposed to come pick up a donation at our house that day (7/28) and didn't. I've scheduled another pick up, but this makes me wonder what's going on with them.
