Southern Walk HOA charged me $1,506.88 in “legal” fees for daring to ask to see the HOA docs

If you ain't happy with the legal team not winning, then run for office because it doesn't look like the current board is willing to change the legal team lineup even after some of us have implored them to do so. Looks like they haven't taken a page from Landsdowne's winning ways. Why they won't change the legal team in order to win a legal case after losing so many is leaving me befuddled.

I wonder what will happen to the HOA or community if OB takes us all the way to Supreme Court and prevails? I am sure the legal team will just walk away content knowing they've been compensated well in spite of the losses. Will the HOA then make good references to others on their legal team?

Another reason we have a hard time changing legal team is that most of our SW neighbors don't attend the meetings so that means we have too much complacency (apathy) within our ranks in the neighborhood.

It's not frivolous... but their handling of it has been atrocious. I wouldn't call having everyone spending $150+ a month for something they were sold as cutting edge and getting a turd frivolous.

My FiOS bill is less than your mandatory minimum bill and the offerings are vastly different. Everyone agreed to be an Openband customer... I doubt they did it with the intention of attaching themselves to an indifferent dinosaur.

I attended the court hearing. Quite interesting. Stevens Miller made the two SW HOA Board members that were questioned look bad. It's hard to defend the indefensible.
COGS also made the SW HOA attorney look bad. She tried to make a big deal about the fact that COGS send his information request to the HOA's registered agent and not to the SW HOA board or to her. COGS then had to educate her as to why. And then he read an email from the SW HOA attorney that she sent to him. COGS responded that yes he got it, yes he responded to her, and NEVER received a response back.

Has anyone in the SWHOA asked for a copy of the transcript of the case?
