People Walking around with Clipboards

I live over on Bankbarn, and for the last 2 days this week, as well as Wednesday -Friday last week, I have seen a girl (probably in her late teens, early twenties) walking around our street with a clipboard. She's always wearing shorts and a white polo shirt. The past 2 days this week, she's been sitting on the curb outside my house. I pull into the garage and walk to the mailbox and she's watching. Today, I thought she was walking towards me when I went to the mailbox, but when I turned around, she's gone. Anyone have any idea who she represents? Its a little creepy, especially since I am getting home with my 5 year old. Isn't Broadlands a "no solicitation" neighborhood? Typically I have people coming to the door around 7pm telling me they're offering free estimates for home improvement stuff, or they'll even leave propaganda in the door, but she hasn't left anything. Its weird...

 

Why don't you just ask her the next time you see her?

 

We had a college-age student come by our house last night in shorts and a white polo shirt. He was selling services for a pest control company called Alterra. He had a clipboard too.

 

Yep. Ditto on Alterra Pest Control. They dropped by the other day (white polo, clipboard). I didn't answer b/c I was playing with my son. They dropped by again tonight (around 8pm). I talked to them this time. Seemed legit- they have a good Yelp rating.

 

This is a yearly occurrence (unfortunately)... and just another new small company pushing pest control. Most of these companies just end up getting bought by Terminex at some point.

 

yep. happens every year. Alterra, Moxie, etc., etc. Last year's story was ant invasions are taking over the world. This year the fear factor is ticks?!!

Same story everytime - we were in the neighborhood treating <<take your pick of neighbor>>. We are seeing lots of <<take your pick of pest>> in the area and we are offering a special since we are in the area... blah blah. The story line never changes.
