rotten window trim and exterior caulking

    We are in a townhouse and have a little bit of wood rot on some of the window trim. We are looking into replacing all of the front window trim with PVC. Does anyone else have experience with this? The estimates we got back are fairly high but it seems like a good option.

    Also, we have received different feedback regarding exterior caulking needs from the contractors. How often do you all caulk around all exterior windows, doors, etc.? We can't reach most of the windows due to the height so we are looking to outsource this, but again, the prices seem fairly high.
