We are talking a record event.... And you are bothered that the roads aren't clear while it's still going on for almost 8 more hours... After almost 24hrs of snow?

Get a grip... It will take days for most roads to return to normal

I'm not expecting normal conditions or perfection, but one plow pass down our street in the last 24 hours to get one lane passable would be nice.

I'd suggest reviewing the info in this thread - http://www.broadlandshoa.org/hoaforum/index.php?threads/blizzard-update.33815/ and contacting the contractor if you've got questions about them reaching you. Pretty sure they're working non-stop at this point and it's just a matter of time. Of course if you are in a more difficult spot I assume it could take longer (those on the hills, etc)

Actually a quick walk about confirmed our street is the only in our subdivision that hasn't been touched (Columbus St) - assume it was just an oversight.

Okay - wrong or right equipment where are they? They have not been through Autumnwood Square since before the snow actually stopped. (They have not been seen at all today 1/24.)
Also, once again they have completely block have of my driveway by piling the snow they plowed up at the end where my driveway exist onto Autumnwood Sq.
Sure hope they are still working an planning to do more than just plow as they need to remove the snow they have piled up so residents have somewhere to put the snow.

My sidewalk is clear and dry. Street is a mess, but my sidewalk is done.

Well, they have not been on Autumnwood Sq since before the snow stopped. There is a layer of fresh snow, of at least an inch or two, on the street that has not been touched. Also, they have done no removal of snow at all - as in 2010 they have blocked half of my driveway by pushing all the snow against a curb inside the col de sac so there is a six foot high, six food thick mound of snow blocking half of my two car driveway. Unfortunately it's the part that I need open to get my car out.

All I would like to know at this point is when they will plow Autumnwood Sq and when they are going to start doing snow removal.

Wow vacliff, you get a cookie. I'm not cleaning mine for a while. Not sure why we need to; no one should be walking around anyways.

I realize that we have a lot of snow, but some of us are supposed to work in the morning, but can't get out of our circle. We have cleaned our drives up to the street, but still can't move as the streets haven't been touched. Even if they clear a single path for us to exit, it would be just fine, but to not have anything touched as of yet is ridiculous. Maybe I'll forward my lost wages bill to the HOA....hmmmm

That's exactly my main gripe Xavier. HOA wants us to clear the sidewalks as soon as possible but the roads are still full of snow. Wish we could fine the HOA!

Have you contacted the contractor handling the plowing? Flynnibus posted a good reply to such questions earlier in this thread:

I've tried to call and text the contractor regarding Pallan Terrace multiple times for each. No answer on the telephone and no reply to text message when we can anticipate a lane being cleared on Pallan Terrace.

Hi, I am living on the Ridgeway drive. My husband and I have spent over 7 hours today to clean up our driveway and sidewalks. It was clear for us to drive out, however, I looked out the windows just now, and noticed the Snow removal crew has put all the snow back and block my driveway again. This is the second times for today already. The first time, they did that, we cleaned and now they did it again. Does anyone have this issue ? What kind of snow removal service is this ? This is so messed up. I don't think I can move anymore after today's cleaning, let alone do it all over again tomorrow :(

Everyone has that issue bluepansee. Instead of plowing towards the middle of the road and then scooping it up, they plow towards the sidewalks. I've in the community for 8 years and every year, it's the same shII. You dig yourself out to only have the plows put you back to square one. Don't forget to pay your $89 ( or whatever your HOA fee is).

No cookie needed. It's my responsibility, so I do it. It's a personal sense of responsibility, and has NOTHING to do with the HOA. Kind of a simple concept. VDOT has to make some attempt to eventually plow the street, but they will do it when they can.
But all of you that seem to be worried the HOA will be out doing sidewalk checks tomorrow, well, you let me know when you get a violation notice from us.

No one answered the phone the two times I called.

I saw Flynnibus' post and was encouraged that someone here might know something.

Shovel the snow now before it melts and refreezes. The temps will be in the 30's all week. You'll only have yourself to blame for putting it off.
