    Hi, Jagman.
Biodegrable/ compostable trash bags are a good idea. Thanks.
I found Eco Smartbags at amazon. It comes out to about 19 cents a bag, so I might give it a try.

The eco bags will still gunk up the sorter.

Yep, unsecured trash and recycle all over the place today...plastic bags in trees...cardboard all up and down the street.

And people, break larger boxes down with a boxcutter or other bladed tool. We see way too many large boxes being put on the curb.

Some of you are eating well out there :pofl:....I got your Omaha Steaks cooler blown up on my front steps....and the invoice came along for the ride as well! The cooler is not recyclable.

Don't be so trifling and take a few extra seconds to do it correctly.

    Thanks Bob

I put some, what I thought would be heavy enough stuff on top of our loose crap. Guess not. I just walked down to G's house picking up stuff. Not all ours but I do not mind picking up since I know our pile was strewn about.

I wish the owners of the recyclables from the blocks of 4300x Coulwood Terrace and 2202x Dilworth Square would pick up what blew from their bins. My family and other neighboring families picked up some of the stuff since it blew onto our property or sightline. Other stuff still litters the named blocks or blew into the woods for us same families to eventually pick up.

I guess when either Patriot or the wind takes it away from their property, it isn't their problem anymore.

Not always. As other posts indicate, it is preferable not to bag. They do have handlers that rip open the bags before it goes into the sorter. Something the recyclers prefer not to do - not just because it is labor intensive, but also can cause injuries because of broken glass or can edges. The plastic bag itself will get thrown away as trash though.

Though on days like yesterday... better bag than have it strewn all over.
