Hello, for the past few nights, our camera has caught this animal, looks like a fox on our deck. Since I have 2 small dogs, I just want to know if anyone knows how to chase them away?
The first one showed up around 2am, however, this fox (maybe the same one) showed up on our deck around 11 am tonight, while our neighbors were still outside talking. I thought foxes are afraid of human ?
We have the fence, so not sure how the fox got in, also not sure if it has digged through and stayed somewhere near by. However, it showed up 2 times made me wondered.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Post the pictures from your cam. If it is greyish in color and coat appears rough, it may be a coyote.

Looks like a fox. The ones in Broadlands have no fear of humans - even walking around during daylight hours!

I agree that its a fox, not a coyote. Do you have rabbits visiting your yard at night to munch on your flowers and shrubbery? The fox may be looking for a late dinner...

We do have a lot of rabbits in our backyard, that makes sense. I guess we just have to be careful when letting the dogs playing in our backyard at night.

    Thanks all for confirming it.

That's a fox. I've seen them jump a standard wood fence.

We've had one that hangs around the fence in our backyard, staring at our dog. He/she was also up on our neighbors deck a couple weeks ago "screaming". I'm sure there is more than one. One seems to have mange and the other's coat is normal.

We hear it/them nightly. One day there was one walking down the street while the kids were walking to the bus stop. Definitely not afraid of humans.

Our house is in Southern Walk, it backs to the trail that comes up the hill from Stone Hollow.

We back to the same area. Over the past week have seen at least one very young fox kit playing in yard and woods behind us.

They're most commonly seen during the day when they are looking for food to feed their cubs back at the den - usually between May and July.
