I was walking my dog a little while ago when I witnessed a dark gray Lexus go through the 4 way stop at Vestals Gap and Chickacoan Trail Dr at about 30 mph without stopping and without even applying the brakes. The car then caught up with the car in front of them and drove right behind the person. The gray Lexus turned onto Gentle Heights Ct so I walked up that way. There are only a handful of houses on that street and the Lexus was parked in the driveway of one of them. I am guessing this person lives in the neighborhood and was well aware of the stop sign. There are lots of kids that cross there as that is a bus stop for both the middle and high schoolers so it might be a good idea to remind your kids to never assume a car coming down the street will stop at the stop sign. Luckily there were no other cars or people at the intersection.

That type of irresponsible driving will inevitably lead to an accident. Could you leave a note and attach it under the windshield wiper? My strong hunch is a new teenage driver in the household (driving mom/dad's car) is responsible for this and the parents would love to find out before there is an accident. Even if the teenage driver intercepts the note he/she will realize their reckless driving was observed by others and accountability will eventually follow...
