The engineers estimate the useful life of the shower rooms to be 20 years.

I vote for Option 3. I live very close to the Southern Walk pool and summers are awful. The traffic from swim meets fill Village Drive. I am waiting for an accident as off streets can't see if any cars are coming to pull out. Also, after the pool closes, teens tend to climb the fence and use the diving board. Maybe a Rec pool will draw them to another "trespassing" location.

Option 1. Alternatively , just fill it in and make it an area for additional loungers and chairs.

Option 3 ! I can't enjoy the pool without fear of a basketball inadvertently coming my way - having a separate sports pool is a great idea!

Thank you for all of your feedback. All comments submitted on the forums and via email were reviewed by the board. The board approved moving forward with option 3 with the intent of incorporating other facility upgrades such as the refurbishment of the bathhouses and upgrading of the filtration system with the recreational pool project. We have obtained competitive proposals and expect the work to commence following contract approval and after the 2019 pool season, so upgrades are anticipated to be ready for the 2020 pool opening.

Great news...thanks for the update! When you mention refurbishment of the "bathhouses", are you referring to all three bathhouses being refurbished before the 2020 pool opening?

THIS MAT seems to hold me over during the winter months. Add a couple open books to change the breaks and you are in business!

Yes! The recreation pool is under construction. Bathhouse refurbishment has been postponed.
