My pc is connected thru an ethernet cable. It was working last night & this morning, it was not. I could not even detect a wifi to connect to.
Our laptops & phones can connect via wifi.
I tried to troubleshoot & got "A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken."
There was a windows 10 update last night & I even uninstalled it. It didn't help.

Can any of the computer-savvy people out there help me? Or should I be calling OpenBand? I 'm in SW.
    Thanks.

Have you tried other ports in your house? I first see if your computer can connect to other ports so you can rule out whether the ethernet port went bad.

I connected a laptop to the ethernet cable & it worked for the laptop. I guess it must be the pc's ethernet port. I tried cmd.exe > config & result is "Ethernet Adapter - Media Disconnected.
I saw an ethernet adapter in amazon for $12. I'll research more & hopefully it'll work. Thanks.

check your device manager. if your network adaptor is set to disabled somehow, then you right click and say 'enable'. you can get to your device manager by typing device manager into your search bar at the lower right part of your windows desktop

How old is the pc? I had a similar issue a couple of years ago. A windows update happened, and network would no longer work. Turned out that my laptop network card was no longer compatible, and drivers were no longer available.

Hi, guys. It started working again.
There was a windows 10 update on 5-4 which I uninstalled when I had issue with the ethernet adapter on 5-5. It didn't fix the issue right away - I guess it needed time (or several restarts). It's working now (5-6).
    Thanks for all the input.
