I feel like I am paying too much to Washington Gas. $193 payment plan/m since January. Our house is about 3200 SF and we do not use much gas during the summer. Anyhow, out of curiosity, do you all use the supplier, IGS engergy, or Washington Gas? Which one would be more cost effective? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Every time I compare the alternative company prices to the incumbent, the Alternative comes out more expensive. I am pay as you go, I do not use the budget payment plan.

Because you are enrolled in a budget plan based on averages, you probably pay close to or the adjusted amount in the winter when usage is high.

Personally, I want to see my monthly cost based on actual usage so that I cut back if I need to.

I like a budget plan because I can split financial risk monthly. Do you think going with IGS, not Washington Gas, would be better?

I use Washington Gas with no intention of switching right now.

I don't understand why gas is cheap and we are still paying higher prices

Likely 2 reasons: 1) they bought futures contracts at higher prices and 2) corporate greed!
